Assistant Manager of Facilities & Grounds

The Assistant Manager of Facilities & Grounds plays a pivotal role in the day-to-day operations of this healthcare hospitality organization. Transplant House of Cleveland provides healthcare hospitality through its 25-apartment, three building, campus that operates 24 hours per day, 7 days per week, 365 days per year.

The Assistant Manager of Facilities and Grounds focuses on conducing apartment turnover in a timely fashion as outlined below, as well as the safety and maintenance of physical spaces, triaging maintenance requests, addressing minor repairs, conducting preventative maintenance.

This position works with the Director of Operations to identify contractors for larger issues.

In collaboration with Assistant Manager of Guest and Volunteer Services, supervises and coaches Operations Assistants and volunteers to conduct facilities and grounds work.

An integral part of all operations team members is to provide direct guest service support by answering and making phone calls, processing payments, ensure apartments are prepared to our standards of quality in a timely fashion, that the physical spaces are in good repair, safe, and comforting for our guests, and helping guests check in and check out (completing paperwork and physically unloading belongings).

This energetic and compassionate individual should be ready to jump in to do what is needed, working both independently and in collaboration with colleagues and volunteers, to serve guests and the entire House community.

This role is ideal for a person who has an eye for detailed preparation of welcoming spaces, is handy with repairs and maintenance, has exceptional customer service skills, and has a caring demeanor.

The Assistant Manager of Facilities and Grounds helps ensure our guests and volunteers have a positive and memorable experience at Transplant House of Cleveland.

This role requires a high-level of physical fitness to climb as many as 24 stairs (no elevator), multiple times per day, in indoor stairwells that are not air-conditioned, and outdoor stairwells that are subject to weather, as well as walking the entire campus multiple times per day. Walking and climbing also include carrying loads up to 30 lbs. unaided (e.g., laundry, supplies).
