Thank you to everyone who supported our 9th Annual 5K Run 1 Mile Walk! The morning was full of friendly competition, community, and celebration — just as the event's founder, Brian Vitale, hoped it would be. Whether you participated in-person or virtually, made a donation, created a fundraiser, or sponsored our event your support was felt by everyone at Transplant House. We loved seeing families and friends gather around Rockefeller Lagoon in support of the families we serve and all who are touched by organ transplant. Whether you are a long-time supporter of the House or new to us and our mission, thank you for helping us provide affordable, temporary housing and a welcoming community for organ transplant families. Next year's 5k Run 1 Mile Walk — our 10th Annual! — will be held on Sunday, June 13, 2027 at the Rockefeller Lagoon. We look forward to seeing you there! |
About Brian Vitale
Brian was a friend, Trustee, philanthropist, and liver recipient who was dedicated to supporting and advocating for Transplant House. He founded this event in 2018 and it has become everything he'd hoped - a joyful, family and dog-friendly outdoor celebration and healthy competition that raises impactful funds for our work.
Since our first 5K Run 1 Mile Walk, this event has raised more than $315,000 for Transplant House of Cleveland, directly supporting Brian's dream for a place where organ transplant patients and caregivers never feel alone while on the transplant journey.
Thanks to Brian's generosity and the support of all who have been part of this event over the years, we have continued providing families with a ready-made community of fellow-transplant patients and caregivers for 11 years. Countless lasting friendships have been made that have helped families through some of the most challenging circumstances.
