Meet New Staff Member Hal Roosa

Hi! My name is Hal, and I am one of the operations assistants at Transplant House of Cleveland. I have been familiar with Transplant House for a few years now,as I used to be a volunteer back when I was in high school. Helping the community has always been a passion of mine, and I am thrilled to be a part of such an amazing staff. The sense of community and passion for helping those in need, is what really impresses me the most about this organization. These are values that I replicate in my personal life, as well as in the world.

I am originally from the West side of Cleveland, but ended up moving to Cleveland Heights where I have been living since then. In other words, Ohio has always been my home, with the exception of when I lived in Pennsylvania during my time as an undergraduate student. Whenever I’m not working, I enjoy running, biking, playing my guitar, and going to concerts. I have always been passionate about music, as I have been a musician since I was 7 years old.

Mental health and well-being have always meant a great deal to me, which prompted me to pursue my Bachelor of Science in Social Psychology from Allegheny College. Outside of academics, the campus provided many opportunities for outside work/volunteer opportunities for students to help people and families in town who are in need of outside help with various projects. I am ecstatic that I get to be a part of an organization that not only cares about the well-being of the people that we serve, but passionate about service as well.
How I can help: Please feel free to stop or call the office and I’ll be more than happy to assist you!  I love meeting new people, so stopping by just to have a chat is perfect as well.
