Dr. Matthew Coscia is currently a Fellow in Acute Pain and Regional Anesthesia at the Cleveland Clinic. He earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Notre Dame and completed medical school at Wake Forest University School of Medicine. He recently finished his residency in Anesthesiology at the Cleveland Clinic, where he had the privilege of caring for patients undergoing a wide range of transplant surgeries—including lung, liver, heart, kidney, and multi-organ procedures.
These experiences have given Matthew a deep appreciation not just for the science of transplantation, but for the strength and resilience of the patients and families behind each surgery. That appreciation is also personal—his aunt, Marcie Barker, is part of the leadership team at Transplant House. Through her, he has come to understand the critical role the organization plays in supporting families during some of the most challenging times of their lives.
Working at the Clinic, Matthew sees daily how Transplant House provides more than just a place to stay—it offers comfort, community, and hope. He’s proud to support their mission and honored to be part of tonight’s event.
