A Second Dance at Life 2018

The Crystal Ballroom sparkled, the celebrities dazzled, and a $50,000 gift from Dworken & Bernstein Law Firm wowed the 240 people in attendance at the “encore performance” of A Second Dance at Life!  This unique celebrity dance competition fundraiser, designed by Lisa Vegas and Matthew Miller, highlighted the gift of life given through organ donation and transplantation, while raising funds for Transplant House of Cleveland.

Income to the House is estimated to be more than $150,000 net, but final numbers are being calculated now.  The significant gift from Dworken & Bernstein – the largest single gift in Transplant House of Cleveland’s history – was a surprise to all.  Pat Perotti, creator of the firm’s Ohio Lawyers Give Back program, presented the check to the very loud cheers of the packed ballroom.

The evening also included a high-energy auction and paddle raise, led by Mark Schroeder, and the favorite celebrity dance competition, with very impressive performances by:

  • Kenneth Chavin, M.D.  and Kristen Dobson, Cha Cha

  • Lee Ann Howard and Rick Diedrich, Salsa/Bachata Medley

Both celebrities, coached by Parker Amsel and Rebecca Sweet

  • Candice Monroe and Alonzo Southard, Kizomba/Tango Medley

  • Danielle Serino and Heriberto Perez, Cha Cha

  • Brandon Chrostowski and Nika Obrosova, Argentine Tango

  • Christina Lindenmeyer, M.D. and Tony Scheppler, Rhythm Medley
