First Garden Party Brings 100 People Together to Celebrate and Support Transplant House Expansion

The front lawn of the Transplant House of Cleveland was transformed Wednesday night during our first Garden Party!   A lighted tent adorned with fall flowers, candles, food, beverage, and auction prizes was also filled with friends!  More than 100 people helped us raise over $42,000 as Transplant House celebrated the completion of “Phase Two” of its facility plan- 15 operational and occupied apartments.  Board President, Marty McGreevy, also announced the organization’s next focus- Phase Three, which is the hoped-for expansion into the historic Cozad-Bates House.

Chris Ronayne, President of University Circle Inc., spoke passionately about the partnership of the two organizations, and the plentiful assets in University Circle.  Brian and Diane Vitale, major donors, encouraged generous giving of time and talent.  Transplant House resident, Ken Schultz, brought the mission to life with his family’s personal story of his father’s lung transplant and their ongoing 4 month stay in Cleveland at Transplant House.  Guests enjoyed touring Transplant House apartments as well as the Cozad-Bates House.

We are deeply grateful for the following Garden Party sponsors:
